"We had a good stay at the HGI in Gastonia. Generally clean, with some signs of wear in the room, but otherwise fine. The staff was above and beyond nice and helpful at the front desk (Crystal was a standout- VERY nice!). The bartender was also nice and helpful when kids in our group wanted to order food. The lounge areas outside and in the lobby were good for adult hangouts. The ONLY things we didn't love were that the pool area was SO loud that we ended up leaving when a group of about 7...

"We weren’t allowed to schedule our shuttle took the airport until we arrived in property. Our flight was delayed so we didn’t get in until late and by that time all of the shuttles were full so we had to use an Uber."

"Only stayed to sleep between flights. Was happy we didn't have to wait long for the shuttle to pick us up AND they didn't overbook the 5 am shuttle to get back to the airport for the final leg of our trip. Check in was quick, room was clean, cool, comfy and QUIET. "
