"Spotless"

"The whole hotel was very rundown and sad. It smelled like stale bar smoke. The room had hair on the bed along with worn out and sandpaper rough linens. The shower door was hanging off its track. There was mold in the corners and the carpet stunk. It felt like a you hostel more than a hotel. "

"We stayed there one night on our way from Doolin. There's mostly accommodations in that area and Glasha Meadows is conveniently near town. We texted our host after we were done with The Cliffs of Moher. She met us out front and took us to our unit. Easy. Our unit had three comfortable beds and was clean and cozy. Nice bathroom. Some other little touches like a comfy sofa and a skylight that had a cover so no bright light at dawn. Our host was friendly and had good recs for places to eat, Sean...

The staff went above and beyond, checking in on us regularly over the following days and anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. "The room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. However, there really wasn’t anyplace to unpack and store clothing, which made it more difficult to navigate the small space. The shower was great, but the towels were flimsy. The staff were always helpful. We had lunch in the bar one afternoon, which was delicious, although the seafood chowder should have been hotter. We appreciated the parking discount, but rolling heavy bags along the city streets in the rain was exhausting after the drive....

"I wish we spent more time at this hotel, I will definitely be back. It is so close to Shannon airport it’s a great place to start or end your trip. The breakfast was amazing and so was the coffee. Didn’t get a chance to go to dinner. Did use the tub which was a great perk. Staff was very helpful. "
