"Really lovely quaint hotel! Staff are amazing and go above and beyond!! Thank you to Laura, Paul and the wonderful chef!! Please note, this is a very old building and doesn’t have all the mod cons of a modern property. Bed linen and towels were lovely and clean. There is tea and coffee in the room and you may request additional items if you need them. Beer garden is amazing with lovely views. There are TVs to watch sport. Not suitable for people with mobility issues as there are stairs up to the rooms. My sister and I had a wonderful 2 night stay. 😀"

"This is a very good option for staying just outside richmond at a very good price. The staff were excellent and extremely friendly and the food and service lovely. Would recommend and lovely view of richmond and surrounding area. Thanks team. Love louise claire and the dogs"

"Parking enough for 12 spaces only. Parking a premium in the area. Breakfast was of decent standard. The room was quite large and the double bed was comfortable. Ran out of coke and lemonade at the bar. "

"Everything was fantastic and the food was lovely. Only thing id criticise would be no mirrors in our room. I really struggled when trying to dry and straighten my hair. Had to use the bathroom mirror, luckily the tv plug sockets were outside the bathroom door."

"Lovely hotel, staff very friendly nothing too much trouble. Nice clean room, bed comfortable. Just a bit noisy from road traffic, otherwise would have been an excellent stay. Food really nice, and reasonable choices for vegetarians."

"Heating turned on at 20degrees but frankly when it’s minus 7 outside this was not enough. A fan in the bathroom would be good because it’s unreasonable to expect the window to be open when freezing outside. Shower was hard to adjust. A manual when you arrive would be a help too If you had 4 people in this house it would be too small. A simple double bed in the second bedroom would provide a bit more space to move around. Towel rail in the bathroom would be better if you could tirn it off and on yourself - it’s connected to the heat which hardly ever seemed to come on."
