"Michael Shaw (Front Desk, 3rd shift) was rude. When asking about amenities at the hotel he would just point, and he would say “over there” and give no direction. "
"From my airport shuttle ride to the hotel to checkout, I had a positive experience. The front desk staff person welcomed me. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet with srambled eggs, saugage, waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, and a variety of breads and cereals was included in the room price. The dining area and lobby were well maintained."
"Clean and friendly staff. Turned the fire on for us and were accommodating to late checkout. Area is great, food spots everywhere and only 20/30 mins from DC."
"I’d requested an early check in, but arrived only about 20 minutes before check in time. I was given a 2 queen room when I booked a king. When I called downstairs they told me it was because I’d “checked in early.” It would have been nice if the clerk had mentioned the substitution, because I’d have waited 15-20 minutes for a king. I also asked the clerk what the closest metro station with parking was and he said there wasn’t one. That I should take the hotel shuttle. That’s a lie because there’s a station with ample parking two miles away.
The room itself was fine except for a very tired and pilled bedspread on one bed and a dirty robe in the bathroom. The toilet ran incessantly all night.
This Westin isn’t as nice as it once was. It’s always been our go-to when flying in and out of Dulles. Might be time to make a change. "
