"The place feels more like a halfway house than a hotel. No shampoo or soap in the bathroom, room is tiny, bed is absolutely awful. Check on was basic and the whole thing feels poorly handled. Stay elsewhere if you can, the only plus is it’s near the station, but yeah, it’s a dump. "

"The rooms on the property are tiny, they look bigger in the pictures! The rooms are dated & dirty. I'm not sure we were actually clean after getting showered. The floor was gritty under foot and there were other people's hair all over the bathroom floor. There were a lot of mixed messages as well. When booking its advised that you can check in from 3 but check in forms we received implied you can't check in before 5. Breakfast was another mix of messages with staff not being clear either....

"I was nervous about this property having booked in a rush and not having read reviews. However upon arrival I found it easy to park and a lovely entrance with beautiful character features. The ladies in reception were friendly and welcoming and they upgraded me to a superior room which I was very pleased with. "The property is lovely. Very clean, warm and comfortable. You are made to feel at home rather than being in a hotel room. I hadn't advised i woukd need a patking space, but it was no issue. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The breakfast was delicious and the host Helen is really lovely welcoming you into their home. Definitely stay here again. I was here for business and very handy location to get my customers."

"Small room but ok for our short stay. Breakfast on the 1st day was missing a couple of ingredients smoked salmon and avocado but other breakfast meals made up for the missing options. Staff in hotel and restaurant very good."
