"We loved staying at The Lodge. The staff was extremely helpful, immediately giving us tips for getting around (take the bus to the subway or take the ferry). "NU Brooklyn is, in the words of Jack Reacher," Everything you need, nothing you don't." Well placed ,10 minutes walk from multiple subway stations. Clean, friendly, comfortable and functional. Spare not fancy. Would be 4 stars but goes down to three because they could not fix a broken light over the sink over 3 full days, including one regular workday, threatening to turn shaving into a blood letting. Will definitely stay again. "

"This hotel is quite good! The front desk staff was nice. The breakfast buffet was delicious—my granddaughters loved the pancake machine. It was great that there was a pool table so I taught my granddaughters to play pool. The room itself had plenty of space and the ventilation was very quiet. My only issue was the refrigerator motor which was very noisy."

"Stayed here for a quick 3 day weekend in NYC and enjoyed my stay. They allowed us to check our bags in early so that we start our activities immediately. The check in process was smooth and there weren’t any surprise fees. The room was clean but they only provided towels, soap lotion and coffee. The room did not come with a mini bar/snacks or any toiletries such as tooth paste or shower caps which was not a big deal personally. "The stay is amazing for the money. I just have one hang up. I booked this place because it advertised breakfast, you normally think of a buffet or something grab and go. It's a paper bag of food that comes with no utensils or a way to heat up the egg and cheese biscuit. If breakfast is not important to you then this is an amazing place to stay. "
