"The room was okay but needed a lot of updating. The wallpaper was pulling away from the wall, the tiles in the bathroom floor were cracked and the tub was discolored and peeling. The a/c struggled in 75 degree weather and I hesitated to walk on the carpet in barefeet for the unknown cleanliness of it.
It wasn’t just my room that needed some attention, either. The breakfast buffet was so lacking that there was no coffee and it was better to drive to McDonalds. The door to the pool was broken so it remained propped open at all times leaving the hallway humid and chlorine scented, the ice machine was ready for its funeral march and you prayed the elevators would work properly. We were there for 4 nights, and while the staff was nice, you had to hunt for them. I don’t like using the phrase, “ You get what you paid for”, because I believe that even if the room was cheaper that others in the area, they had enough steady business to make some updates."
"Breakfast was fine, but a bit sparse. I don't think they had many guests the night we were there. No eggs or breakfast meat, but they did have biscuits and gravy (this Indiana girl approved) plus waffles and such. We were fed, but some bacon would have been nice. (First World Problems.)"
"I don't know if anyone is actually taking care of this property. The room itself was a good size. The pillows were just tossed on the bed as if someone was in there sleeping and left in a hurry. They we're also totally flat. I'm pretty sure the linen wasn't even changed. The entire place smelled like cigarettes. I'm sorry guys. I checked in super late and was completely exhausted from driving to even complain about the condition of the the room. Our family just made do for the night an left as quickly as we could the next morning. This could be a good place if you take better care of it."
"Very nice hotel. Stayed here for UIUC's Mom's weekend. It's 30 minutes away from the campus, but a quick and easy drive and more affordable. Hotel and rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast included. Free snacks in the lobby as well as snacks, drinks and basic personal items available to purchase. Great security looks on the doors! Easy check in / out process."
