"Absolutely the most disappointing and uncomfortable hotel stay my family has ever experienced.
From the moment we walked into the room, we were shocked by the level of uncleanliness. The carpet was visibly filthy, to the point where we didn’t feel safe walking on it barefoot. The beds were clearly not changed—you could tell just by looking at the sheets that they had been slept in, which is completely unacceptable for any guest, let alone a family traveling together.
I felt genuinely scared to touch anything in the room without sanitizing it first. Even the TV remote had grime on it. The couch had a strong, unpleasant odor that made it impossible to sit on. It was obvious that proper cleaning and basic hygiene standards were not followed.
As a family, we expect at least a clean and safe environment, and this hotel failed on every level. This experience left us uncomfortable, disappointed, and honestly disgusted. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because no guest should have to stay in conditions like this."
"Farmington Inn is quaint and has a mature person feel. The room was older and smelled like a nursing home yet it was clean and served the purpose. There was a small laundry room fire while we were there. Luckily, I was in my room and evacuated me and my dog safely. I questioned if they would have gone in to get my dog if I were not there. That question remains unanswered. I’d stay again. It was close to the interstate and food options and some of the most beautiful walks. "
"Arrived on a Friday afternoon, was informed after we checked in that the elevator was out of service, this property should have informed us of this before check in, they intentionally checked us in then informed us after we had checked in, this is bad business! I feel they should have hire someone one to help guest with rhier luggage. The elevator was out from Friday to the following Tuesday this is unacceptable. Marriott should take thier name off this hotel because they are a bad representation of the Marriott Brand. It's more of a Motel 6 category. Waste of my money for sure!"
"The breakfast buffet was lovely. Our concern was that all guests are charged an additional $20/day for amenities. We were there on a Monday overnight. The restaurant was closed, the pub was closed, the pool table room was closed, the pool wasn't open yet for the season and there wasn't any special programming. It would be more transparent to just include that $20 in the fee, then to make it seem like you are getting some extra amenities that any other hotel would just have included in the cost"
