"Great location great place to stay"

"The Pilsley Inn is the quintessential English country side experience. The room was thoughtfully appointed and way bigger than expected. Cozy bed, nice linens and thoughtful touches everywhere. The staff were delightful, each and every one of them. And the food…omg, the food! So good! We wish we booked more than one night!"

"The room was huge with more than enough space for a seating area as well as a dressing table/coffee station. Tea/coffee provided and hairdryer in room. Bathroom was adequate but dated and some of the seating in the bedroom area was ripped and one of the bedside lights didn’t work. Staff were helpful although it took some time to knowledge us on arrival. They were really helpful when I phoned to make an enquiry prior to arrival. "Great location, friendly helpful staff, comfortable beds, lightweight but warm duvet. Excellent. Nice food."

"The room was excellent and the staff were all lovely. We had dinner the first evening but somehow our order got 'lost' and we waited an hour for the food from ordering. Meanwhile, meals were being brought out for diners around us. No one seemed to notice that we were waiting and waiting..... However, the staff were very apologetic, the food was delicious (when it finally arrived) and we were not charged for it in the end. Overall, a great place to stay- and eat- and we would recommend."

"A nice travellers rest inn, we had a very spacious ground floor room with an equally spacious ensuite, the room was a little noisy early evening, but was generally quiet overnight. Well located in the centre of Bakewell close to all the town has to offer. The adjoining pub has a great atmosphere with excellent food and drinks. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating."

"Large, comfortable room"

"Very clean room and all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Shower is a bit of a dribble and you need to bring your own soap or shower gel. No breakfast but there's options just around the corner. A great pub with lots of beers on offer from their own brewery. I'd happily go back."
