"We loved our stay here. The host was lovely and welcoming and did her best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The homemade breakfast and the bath were the highlights of the stay. Would definitely stay here again. "
"We recently stayed there with our kids and we lived the property! The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. Lots of things to do such as foot bath, public bath, koi pond and very close to the outlet mall. Can’t wait to stay again!"
"The Fujiya Hotel is a historic gem in an unforgettable setting, with a staff that is extremely friendly, competent and professional. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience with a beautiful onsite onsen, and easy access to all the best that Hakone has to offer. Definitely one of my all-time favourite travel experiences!"
"The futon’s aren’t very thick so it can be a bit uncomfortable if you’re a side sleeper. Other than that our stay was great. The owner, Yudai, is incredible and has an excellent sense of hospitality. When I come to Hakone again this place will be at the top of my list. "
"Excellent hotel from a room and dining standpoint. We loved the buffet breakfast and dinners. The room was extremely spacious…stayed in a western room with 2 beds and 3 tatami mats. The onset was lovely as well. Only downside was the distance from main attractions was a 30 min bus ride. "

"This is a great place for a weekend get away. Everything in the town closes at 5 so be mindful of that when visiting the town. Food is very good and highly suggest trying the Japanese style breakfast at least once. It was a very neat experience. Traditional breakfast was very basic. "

"This place was amazing.
The room was big and we had a beautiful view on the back forest. We had two choices of Onsen (outside and inside) and both were very clean, comfortable and beautiful. The staff went above and beyond for us. Because there was not of other guest, we were able to have one side of the Onsen for us instead of being separated man and woman.
The night we had food at the ryoko was wonderful and te food was delicious. Our stay there truly was amazing and I would go back any time. "
