"Spacious rooms with onsen tub on deck that is incredible. Loved the supplied clothing and the atmosphere that created. Room was well equipped and very comfortable. The buffet restaurant was amazing and even better when not busy. Staff was very helpful and a short fully indoors walk to family mart was very convenient. The complimentary ice cream was a nice touch. Would absolutely return. Incredible views from rooms and the garden is spectacular. "

"Amazing ryoken in Gora. Close to Gora station for access to the Cable Car to the Hakone Ropeway. 15 minute walk to the Hakone Open Air museum and steps from Gora Park. Rooms are beautifully appointed, open air room onsen was a plus. Public onsen and sauna also top notch. Free snacks and drinks, including alcoholic beverages. Staff were incredibly attentive. "The Fujiya reeks of history and elegance. The rooms are very spacious. The ambiance is sublime. We are so pleased we stayed at this hotel. The staff and quality of service was excellent. The sauna and spa facilities were 1st class. A couple of minor issues - the beds were a touch on the firm side. And the range of choice for breakfast was limited. However, in every other respect, the Fujiya will be a highlight of our time in Japan."

"This is a great place for a weekend get away. Everything in the town closes at 5 so be mindful of that when visiting the town. Food is very good and highly suggest trying the Japanese style breakfast at least once. It was a very neat experience. Traditional breakfast was very basic. "

"This hotel was very close to the last stop on the cable car train which is a narrow train that goes up the mountain from Gora. Luckily we used the luggage same day storage and forwarding service from Hakone-Yumoto station because it was crowded on the cable car train and it would have been difficult to board with our suitcases.
