"Walking straight off the platform into the hotel. A beautiful interior, gorgeous staircase and discrete but attentive staff. Spacious grounds, lots of parking and a short walk to city centre. Also very close to railway museum which is fabulous. I want to visit again!"

"For the price paid... OK. Stopped here several times before and this was the worst experience. The images on the website didn't accurately represent the room, (paid extra for a larger room) which was a letdown from the start. But it was alright. Upon arrival, I noticed the kitchen area had dirty marks all over the gloss cabinets, as well as long black hairs on the floor in the lounge, which suggested a lack of attention to detail in the cleaning process. "What a beautiful place to stay on the North Bay of Scarborough and threturnnbus services in to Scarborough South Bay are every 10-15mins. Very much enjoyed our stay. "

"This is a very old building and it has been lovingly and beautifully restored. Perfect location in York to stay. Easy walk from the train station and close to the York Minster and the Shambles market. Dozens of restaurants, pubs and shops around the hotel. Cannot wait to go back!"
