"I stayed for 7 nights and found the room comfortable. The premises are beautifully maintained, especially the pool and gardens, and the property is very clean throughout. The staff are extremely friendly and approachable—Julius in particular is a real star: a young man always willing to help. Negative points: There is no ATM on site, and reception cannot always break large notes, which made tipping staff difficult. As a result, I wasn’t able to tip as much as I would have liked. "This hotel was BEAUTIFUL! The pictures do not do it any justice. We stayed at the overwater villas for one night and the service was exceptional. The food was good. They brought a floating breakfast that was delicious. Even the regular villas were really nice. Also “the rock”restaurant was 15 mins away. "

"Very welcoming and friendly staff; restaurant went out of their way to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The property is kept very clean and well staffed. If you want a break from the crowded touristy areas of Zanzibar; I highly recommend Treetop. Just be aware that off property it’s a distance to find restaurants or proper markets. But Treetop is so good for a quiet restful stay in Zanzibar. It’s also very close to Jozani Forest which is a major attraction for nature and wildlife "
