"We reserved a Matterhorn view with extra price for the stay in May. Our room was on the first floor with partial view of Matterhorn and not much privacy which was somewhat disappointing. The hotel was quiet overall but the lights switches were very confusing. We asked for a train station pick up but they asked us to call even though we told them we didn’t have a phone number."

"After a fantastic, long and relaxing journey on the Glacia Express from Chur to Zermatt, we arrived at Hotel Sarazena around 9pm. "Great atmosphere with very mountainy feel. Lots of knotty pine walls and ceilings. Breakfast was very good. Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Would highly recommend. If you stay here, ask for a room on floor 4 or 5 facing the Matterhorn. As a side note, we went in late May and did not realize that many of the bars and restaurants in Zermatt and hiking areas were closed in between winter and summer season during May. Also, May is construction season so motorized...
