"Both the double bed and the extra beds for my teens were very comfortable. The room was spacious and well furnished, with good storage, and both a desk and a table. There was a nice lounge/breakfast area overlooking the river. The staff was very friendly and helpful and even let me check the room an extra time a few hours after checking out, as I thought I had forgotten something! Also had free luggage storage both before checking in and after checking out. Would absolutely stay again!"

"Everything was really worth value for your money. However we experienced rudeness during our stay when one of the renters on the other room was knocking our wall and telling us to keep quiet when were not making any noise but because my husband snored which I cant avoid they kept on knocking our wall. He doesn't really snore, but just that particular night he snored because we were literally tired and exhausted from the travel. But can you avoid that? Can they literally shut us up when someone...

"I paid less than £50 for a double en suite room pretty much in the middle of Beverley and got exactly what was advertised. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, parking was included and I was lucky enough to get a space as close as possible to the hotel. Not too sure what the people who leave 2-3 star reviews are expecting but if you want a 5 star room then find one and pay the price. "The property was excellently situated just around the corner from the Minster. The rooms are well presented with everything you need and staff are very helpful. The pub down stairs is well stocked and a nice environment to be in. Jane was amazing and very generous on our arrival to take our bags in early so we could make the most of our time in York. "Chapter Two is right in the heart of Malton, close to shops & restaurants. The rooms are spacious, with quirky decor & immaculately clean. Chapter Two is a lively bar for a G&T or cocktail, the staff are very friendly. We cycled to Malton and were abke to store our bikes in the secure lobby throughout our stay. Can't recommend this place highly enough!"

"The place was good and the on site staff were helpful but the overall experience from Hotels.com was terrible and made the whole trip unpleasant. The accommodation don’t answer the phone and Hotel.com have appalling customer service and just don’t care what happens after they take your money, they openly admit that they have NO complaints procedure and that they do not abide by Data Protection law. "

"Mal, the host, was exceptional - welcoming, interested in us, and couldn't do enough for us. His breakfasts and rooms were first class. We would recommend Hillcroft to anyone who wants a great place to stay. "
