"My husband & I arrived on a Friday and we're fairly late arriving, we were shocked at the price of the parking, the sign said £18 per day. You have to use an app which I do not like! We walked to reception and booked in. We were told our room was on third floor. We got in the lift and went up, as soon as the doors opened the heating hit us! We found our room and went in. "It was a great room. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the hotel bar. The parking was a little tricky at first, but it became more intuitive as we learned how it worked. The room was clean, housekeeping was prompt, and it’s in a good location. Would stay here again."

"Friendly and helpful receptionist on arrival and also the next day. My single room was clean as was bed linen and towels. Room not large but more than adequate for an overnight stay. No dinner served in the hotel but they are happy to recommend local eateries of which there are many. The hotel does have a bar which was open for 4 hours in the evening. "Breakfast was excellent, dinner however is a different kettle of fish. To charge £4.00 for 5 onion rings was actually a rip off. Over the two dinners we had in the hotel service was inadequate. Bringing out two dishes separately because one meal wasn’t ready. I’m expecting decent service and pulling the staff off the reception desk to run the and wait table is unprofessional and rediculous."

"The hotel is an old Georgian building and therefore reflected in the rooms and amenities. Lots of character and charm. However, this means no aircon and old fashioned door locks etc. They provide a fan but our room was still too warm. We stayed in April so the summer months could be tricky.
The bed was very comfortable and the shower room was well stocked. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion and lovely fluffy towels. Lots of tea and coffee. Coffee was high quality bags and not the nasty...
