"I would not stay here again. It's hotel prices in the middle of Manchester without hotel facilities. You've got to check yourself in using a QR code. Then they insisted on seeing ID before they would let me have my key. I told the staff that it isn't mandatory to carry ID in the UK (im not against that by the way I just didn't have anything on me Barr my phone). "This hotel is AWFUL. The smell of cigarettes and weed was overwhelming in the hallways and in my room. There was NO ventilation in my room without a window, so there was a portable fan that was left on. My room smelled like weed and mold. I left Garner Hotel the day I checked in to stay at another hotel nearby because the shower drain wasn’t working and the room was in a terrible condition. The manager was delusional enough to tell me the shower drain was working and said the room was fine....

"This location was in the thick of everything. Within close walking distance to shopping, bars, restaurants. There is a lot of people and live music Friday - Sat - so bring ear plugs if you want to sleep early. My room was everything I needed - bed was nice - bathroom was nice. "Room was clean but housekeeping lacking, lots of dust in room, experienced skin allergies , requested bedding to be changed after first night, only one bed bedding got changed, had to request again on 2nd day, no house keeping on 2nd day, had to request emptying of bins/towel request, final night bedding and room cleaned.
