"The place was generally kept clean. The check in process was a little challenging since there was only one staff to handle a flood of people. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The amenities were adequate for its purpose. The in-house restaurant was very good. The breakfast buffet was adequate for any traveller. The location was close to town center with plenty of shops to choose from. And, it was close to the cruise port where we would embark for another journey."

"Reviews 2026 The Manor House Hotel exceeded our expectations despite the age of the house. We like the shower with good water pressure and the use of the lift. Breakfast was a treat everyday. "This is an older property with lots of character. Located near the downtown area, there are lots of dining choices within walking distance. There could be some work done in the interior to make it more appealing but the room was clean, comfortable and, even though we faced the main street, quiet. Breakfast was quite nice with a very good selection. Staff was very friendly."

"Hotel is in a lovely area and looks beautiful inside and out. The staff I met were nice, however was disappointed after having a long day to arrive and told they were not serving any food (was around 7pm). Our room was nice and mostly clean (empty bottles were left on the floor when we arrived) and the TV would only work on BBC1 and ITV and we couldn't use the remote as this didnt work either 🙈"
