"The property was clean and well maintained, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job throughout our stay\. Unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our experience\.
The air conditioning was not working for the entire three days we stayed\. When we arrived, we found fans in the room, which suggested the hotel was already aware of the issue\. The rooms were extremely hot, and we had to keep the windows open to make them bearable\.
When I contacted reception to report the problem...

"Really good Hotel in the centre of Shrewsbury. From a welcome Sherry on arrival to a fantastic breakfast on leaving, we had a great stay. The room was spacious and clean, barring a rather large cobweb in one of corners. Everything we needed was there."

"The room was clean tidy and the bed was very comfy. The shower was not very powerful. Soap was provided, but no moisturiser..
I had a drink at the bar which had no ice as the machine was broken. I used the swimming pool but looked fairly cloudy and the locker room didn’t have locks unless you bought your own. Clean towels Were provided. Overall this is a nice hotel but maintenance needs improving."

"Very lovely tranquil hotel on the lake staff very good and the room excellent ,but for a 4 star AA Michelin hotel we were expecting a breakfast menu not a buffer breakast which was not the best"

"Lovely place However, AC was not working and needed to be on when we arrived. Far to hot. When we tiried to turn on, it was broken. A fan was provided, which helped, . But as warmth is insured on arrival during colder days, AC needs the same consideration in the hotter temperatures"

"The room was comfortable and the bedding was immaculate, the attention to detail was lacking in that surfaces were dusty, the tea and coffee facility was sparce and empty milk jigger left amongst fresh supply.
Bathroom was functional apart from toilet seat which was a bit wobbly.
All in all we had a comfortable stay. The hotel is tired and needs some tlc."
