"Overall good stay. Hot tub wasn't hot. Rooms got warm but plenty of cold air outside to cool them down. Beds were not super comfortable but they did the job"

"Hatte ein Einzelzimmer in einem Nebengebäude. Es war äusserst komfortabel und geräumig für ein Einzelzimmer. Auch die kleine Gemeinschaftsterasse mit Nischen, Tischchen und Aschenbechern gefiell sehr! Ein kleiner Abzug für die am Morgen relativ lauten Betriebsgeräusche rundherum. ( teilweise hatte ich auch das Gefühl, dass Leute mit Skischuhen im oberen Stock rumgelaufen sind ) Ansonsten Top Hotel, freundlicher Empfang! "

"Have no regret to booked myself a solo trip for 2 nights in this marvellous hotel. Great front desk staffs at welcoming. Room is clean and comfortable with nice Mountain View. Perfect location with less than 150m from the train station and surrounded with lots of shops. Hotel facilities (gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room) are great especially on the rainy which I could not do much activities out door. Well, if the opening time for these facilities can be extended till 10pm, will be better....

"This hotel is very nice. The Grill had amazing food. We had an amazing server named Sophia. Our food was top notch. The hot tub overlooking the city was really cool and I enjoyed the saunas and steam room. I liked our room but I was disappointed because I had paid top dollar for a grand junior suite with a view of the Matterhorn but realized after my first night that the hotel had given me the worst possible room of that category. "Hotel staff was great. Nuria was very informative on local activities and getting us to where we wanted to go. We were able to get to a viewing site for the Matterhorn thanks to her help. Room was large and comfortable. Bathroom and shower were nice and spacious. One of the few hotels that I actually didn't want to leave, because I was comfortable there. "

"Absolutely beautiful hotel in the heart of Zermatt. It took six minutes to walk to the hotel from the train station and the location is perfect. You are in the heart of the shopping/dining district in Zermatt. The staff went out of their way to provide excellent customer service and the room was very spacious with modern amenities. I would definitely stay here again."

This hotel should teach a master class on service and staff loyalty. Every employee is friendly and eager to serve. I can't recommend Hotel Matthiol enough. "I throughly enjoyed my stay at the Alex. Staff was more than friendly and accommodating, the facilities are immaculately clean and the room and property had everything I wanted in a hotel. The Ski room with heated boot and glove warmers in my private locker were a fantastic add that I wasn’t aware of. Sofi and the staff were very friendly. Everything is walkable from this location, including the train. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!"
