"Very clean and comfortable room close to Kyoto station. We felt that the room was a pretty good size compared to some other hotels in Japan, and found that the bathroom and room were very clean. Being close to Kyoto station was convenient for taking trains to and from the city. We also appreciated the coin laundry machines in the building. One thing I would note about the area is that there are limited breakfast options, but plenty of food options for the rest of the day. We would look to...

"Fantastic hotel and a great way to experience Japanese living. Not quite what I would call a full ryokan, our room fortunately had it's own bathroom and tub, while still having the tatami matt floor and futons. The tub was a deep soaker and set up to provide a private onsen experience. We really enjoyed our stay"

"Very comfortable with a washer/dryer in the bathroom. Beautifully decorated room. Across the road from a picturesque pagoda. Fairly close to Kyoto station but a long way from the main tourist areas: it took us 40 minutes to get to the meeting place for our walking tour of Gion. The sliding panels let through lots of light so you may need an eye mask. Excellent staff who were kind and helpful when I was unwell. "
