"The room looked better than the photos online. It was spotless and everything was just right - the linens, the carpet, the water temperature in the shower. Sam was an amazing host - when there was an issue with the booking and I encountered issues trying to resolve it with the booking platform - she was helpful and reassuring. My stay was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious - loved the granary bread and I forgot to ask Sam about the coffee - exceptional blend, I want to buy some....

"The reception experience was not good. It was advertised as bed and breakfast but when I got there, I was told that I had to pay extra for the breakfast and never saw anyone to cook the breakfast if I wanted one."

"The room was very dusty. There was brick dust on the bathroom walls together with cobwebs. There was dust stacked on the hand basin waste and mould on the curtains. To get hot water to the basin you had to run the tap for at least 10 minutes and you could not get any hot water to the shower at all. The car park was a joke....7 or 8 spaces for a 40 room hotel."

"When we got there we was upgraded which was really nice. The room was okay the bed Will comfy but from 2 am the noise was horrendous. There were fighting on the corridors what sounded like someone smashing the rooms up we have no sleep at all and had to drive back an hour and a half to get home. "Arrived around 20 minutes before check in. This ‘hotel’ is not staffed and entry is gained by a key code at the entrance, and then the room key is obtained by putting another key code. On opening the key safe for room 9 there was no room key. What followed was numerous phone calls to the hotel mobile (no landline number) that went to answer phone. Sent a text message and again no answer. Therefore we decided to book another hotel nearby. Around an hour and a half after check in time he...

"Staff lovely and accommodating, room was spacious, lovely view of the river, comfy bed and clean fresh bathroom. Had a lovely evening meal in the sun by the river, and breakfast was great. And all for a very reasonable price, would definitely stay again"
