"Room was clean and tidy on check-in but because it was very hot the room had no AC but they supplied a fan that did nothing to keep it cool. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The bar was well stocked and had all the drinks I needed. Breakfast was delicious and being a vegetarian the vegan full breakfast even included my favourite vegan black sausage. We had dinner in the restaurant which excellent and the waiting staff were attentive."

"Where do I start… It’s nóthing like the pictures as advertised. The whole place is rundown. Threading carpets, wallpaper missing/torn off, rickety doorhandles…Booked for two persons 3 nights. In the room: leaky broken showertap in a slippery bath. 1 mug for “complimentary” coffees & tea (read cheapest brand instant possible). The beds… because I had to remake the bed, I saw the matrass.. I don’t wish that upon my worst enemy. Incredibly gross. And a bad matress to sleep on as well. Breakfast...

"Room was too hot for us. (Normal summer day. It had been 21 degrees.) Coffee at £8 each at breakfast was too expensive for us."

"Debra and Drew were very welcoming hosts. We used The Barn as a lauch pad to visit Chartwell and Knole. Perfect choice. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. We were spoilt for choice regarding local eateries. We chose The White Hart for dinner and it was top knotch. "

"The hotel was disappointing, it is in need of updating. Our room was very old fashioned and the bathroom felt unclean .On one of the hottest days of the year there wasnt even a fan to help cope with the heat. On the positive side, all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was nice but I dont think we would chose to stay here again ."

"We stayed at Salomons Estate as a group of 12 people. The grounds are lovely, and the facilities are well looked after considering the age and character of the property. The staff were really helpful throughout our stay. Everything was clean, and both the bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size. Although the rooms are a little outdated, the bedding was very comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay overall."
