"The Room we very spacious even with 3 beds and very clean. Plenty of car parking right next to the room. We had a great home-cooked meal in the restaurant and an excellent breakfast each morning. All of the staff we met were very friendly and happy to suggest places to visit. The Motel is well situated for visits to York and surrounding areas and there is an easy to find Park&Ride into York"

"This holiday home is the most perfect myself and partner have booked. The decor is absolutely amazing and a lot of thought had been put into it by the owners. It is impossible to pick any faults. The home was clean and high standard and quality of equipment and furnishings. Studying the ‘quirky’ decor was an enjoyable time spent. Simon and Lynne were so friendly without being intrusive. The advert does not do this place justice, it was above and beyond our expectations and we shall be back "

"Liked size of bedrooms and bathrooms . Easy walk in shower for mild mobility problems . Good property to share with adult son in second room . Heating very responsive . Host kept in contact to check if any refills etc needed . Only downside for us are stairs access but there were good handrails . "

"Wow! We wanted to stay somewhere walkable to York city centre that also had parking for our hire car and Monkbridge exceeded all our expectations. The warm and informative welcome, the comfortable and beautifully renovated rooms, the cooked to order breakfast, the overall service and all the little extras and touches made our 2 night stay amazing. Thanks so much to our hard working hosts who have also painstakingly restored the building into an amazing B&B! "

"Very pleased with our visit to Ascot House. The owner was very friendly and informative. The room was lovely,the bed and bedding excellent and the bathroom was superb. The breakfast each day was very tasty and the food cooked to order. The location was also excellent. Just over 10 minutes walk into York and a bus stop just down the road. Car park at Ascot House available but sometimes full. However parking allowed on side road so no problem. "

Great that the staff will pick up your luggage from the station on arrival and it was in our room when we arrived. Afternoon tea was wonderful and we loved the pantry and record player in our room. "Last minute booking as decided to stay overnight in York. Communication for check in was quick, property was easy to find, close to town and super clean and tidy. Had a relaxing stay and would definitely consider again next time we were in York. Small supermarket and Mrs Greedy’s at end of road was excellent for supplies and a quick cooked breakfast. "

"What a wonderful place to stay! Our room was beautifully decadent, breakfast excellent, and the staff team were all professional, charming and extremely helpful. I could not recommend Clementine's highly enough, plus it's walking distance from the city centre but set aside so it's relaxing and peaceful. We hope to return again. This is a gem!"

"Spacious with excellent kitchen facilities and extremely close to attractions and amenities. Clean apartment but some more attention to cleaning the shower base recommended. Communication and access instructions are comprehensive, easy to follow and stress free. Parking was provided (& appreciated) and was only 2-3 minute walk away. The parking space was very tight and a bit of an obstacle course. Not really suitable for a medium sized car. Definitely not suitable for a large car or...
