"Excellent 2 night stay at the Hare and hounds. Such a lovely well presented pub and very nicely decorated rooms, Our room was named "The Flying Duck" and it was perfect. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and the food was amaizing. Breakfast both mornings was fab and fresh Its an easy 20 minute walk into Newbury but if walkings not your thing its a short drive with lots of pay and display parking in the town centre. On the topic of parking loads of free parking in the carpark...

"This used to be my school until 1982 and it has been lovingly restored into a beautiful hotel with great amenities in amazing grounds. Ample parking and a safe environment leads to a peaceful and relaxing stay. "

"I stayed at this hotel for two nights and overall had a decent experience. The property is located right next to the M25, but surprisingly, the noise wasn’t particularly bothersome. "I’ve stayed here multiple times and each and every stay has been excellent. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Kudos to Girley on the front desk from Turks and Caicos for the warm greeting! Rooms are clean and very quiet even though they are across from a hug airport and on a busy roadway. The breakfast has many choices of hot and cold dishes including fresh fruit and healthy choices. The 24 hour beverage station is wonderful for a late night cocoa or chamomile tea before bed."

"We had a lovely overnight stay for my best friends birthday , she had a fabulous Driftaway spa treatment with the wonderful Charlotte , the setting of the hotel is beautiful & we enjoyed a leisurely walk around the lake . The room we stayed in hd everything we needed & we lovely & cleam . Food in restaurant was good with plenty of choice, the only small negative was that it was undergoing a refurbishment which limited us to access to bars & dining , but the staff were great , very friendly...

"The breakfast was average with good value. My TV remotes battery was low and I could not use the TV. The staff came up with a replacement with new batteries. A shower conditioner was empty. beter review is required of all amenities prior to making public. Not sure if I would recommend."
