"It’s kinda worn down but nice enough I guess. But pricey for what you got. Plenty of parking at least"

"A very comfortable country pub, with great food, top chef and well kept beer. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My room was a tad small and basic but the bathroom was modern and hey this is a 16th century building and I enjoyed my stay."

"From the staff, to the gorgeous rooms, the bar and restaurant areas, it was nigh on perfect. The air con unit occasionally got a bit noisy, but it was still a fabulous stay. We were there for one night, so I do wonder whether a longer stay might have made that part a little more frustrating over time. Otherwise, we loved it!"

"A beautiful hotel, grounds and local amenities"

"Very helpful and considerate staff team, fantastic breakfast with masses of choice, very clean and comfortable."

"No air-conditioning. (Just in case you need it.) A fan was supplied in the room and like the room could do with a good clean. Dresser glass top you could see the dust laying on top. "Great location with easy access to the area. Really helpful staff. Food was well prepared and tasty. Rooms had all that you needed with some nice wee extras such as bottled water, coffee bags. Tissues toiletries"

"This was a great place to stay for the night. Very clean and staff were so friendly and helpful"

"No complaints. I had to check out very early at 4am and the older gentleman even came out to open the gate for me. Superb staff"

"The breakfast is amazing. The room is cozy and the bed is comfortable. The host which is the owner are very kind and helpful. I will definitely come back again. Highly recommended."

"It has to be said that the house and grounds are superb and Met my desire to have my friend wake up on her 80th birthday in palatial surroundings. However I have just been informed at the end of breakfast that it is not included in my Expedia booking! There is no warning of that whatsoever and I think that it is deceitful and deceptive. "

"Very nice and clean spacious bedroom bathroom is amazing food 10/10 quite off grid amazing staff very attentive room service spot-on very nice place to enjoy weekend get away or family holiday would recommend every time"

"Loved this place so much. It seems to be a local hangout which was fantastic. It’s on a busy street, so expect some noise, but other than that was fantastic. Already planning my next trip back!"

"Very convenient located for me"

"Very clean hotel. Stayed there for a conference although the majority of guests are on airport transit from Stansted airport. Including breakfast at the price I paid would have been nicer"
