"Overall the stay was fine, nothing alarming. Hotel looked really nice as we entered. However, the quality and standard of rooms were below expectations of a high reviewed/ star hotel. One example being the bathroom, shower heads were not consistent in the water pressure and so caused a lot of spraying all across. "The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained with good decor. The bathroom had a powerful shower and enough room around the basin for your wash bags. Lighting in the bathroom is always an issue for me (!) so as usual I had my mirror on the window sill in search of natural light. We ate in the pub on the first night, sharing a platter. Good menu. "This was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. The look of the Ribchester Arms, when we arrived, was impressive. We had a very large room and bathroom, both very modern with a 'fridge and juices, milk, drinks and biscuits. The staff were very helpful and looked after us. Breakfast was freshly cooked and pretty good. We ate there a couple of nights and the food was wonderful. A recommended place to stay ."

"We paid extra for a view room. The view was the best thing about our room. The room was very stuffy on arrival. Had to put on the fan straight away. The room looked verdy tired, chipped pain, stains on the curtains. I always strip our beds when we stay away, when i stripped the beds the duvet was heavily stain & the mattress was badly stain aswell. The only thing that was ok was the matress topper. The cleanliness really should be looked at. I came away feeling dirty, im positive i came away...
