"Parking very easy till we booked in and were asked to pay £14, this was not mentioned on the hotel advert with Expedia nor on the email confirming the booking. After some debate with reception the guy borrowed our phone to show us where it was, not under this hotel but scrolled down another half dozen pages and showed us it the parking charges in the general terms and conditions, while scrolling saw the booking charge had dropped by £20, so suggested they took the parking charge out of this,...

"Lovely hotel near the airport. Clean, tidy, sufficient for our needs. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Despite being near the hotel it was pleasantly really quiet and peaceful. I could not hear the planes at all. I would highly recommend. The price of room was reasonable in comparison to others in the area. The parking was at the back of the hotel and easy to use. I think this will improve once the works at the front of the hotel are completed. We ordered pizza and chips at the bar...

"Arrived late at night and had trouble finding a car park space. Access around the building is one way but to exit you have to go through a locked gate and you need a code - as a guest who has just arrived you don't have this info. I called the hotel 3 times whilst stuck at the gate and no one answered. Luckily a guest walked past and gave me the code. Went around again but this time went in the multistorey up a level. Be warned this car park is VERY TIGHT and not all cars are parked well. When...

"Friendly check in. Good nightly rate and clean comfortable super king bed. Quiet and managed some sleep after requesting a room a long way from the entrance. Overall a short walk to the terminals - only manchester airport could charge £3.50 for a shuttle bus to the terminals. Welcome to a second tier airport. "

"We arrived at hotel a few hours before check in and I was not informed by reception that the spa was being closed early at 4.30pm due to maintenance work. When we checked in at 3pm we were then informed by a different member of staff the spa facilities were being closed early at 5pm, the spa actually closed at 4.30pm. "Breakfast was good overall, however would have expected to see black pudding on the hot choice and the choice of bread was poor as the brown was very dry. The coffee in the machines did not taste as a quality brand."

"Hotel needs an update. Staff were nice enough and all the bits you need were there but the customer experience was lacking. Our room was lovely, if cold. The radiators only work part of the time. The characterful bathroom did not have a big enough radiator - no lingering in the bath with just a tidgy towel rail to heat you ( a tall ceiling and giant window.)
