"Very very helpful staff - I received lots of support dealing with airline delays on arrival and modified check-in times, as well as detailed and expert advice on restaurants and attractions around Rome. Also very well located - close to the Vatican and some great restaurant areas. Technically adjacent to train tracks which made me nervous about noise as I'm a light sleeper, but the room was very well soundproofed and I had no issues."

"While the location is up a hill and far from central Rome, it was still A nice property to stay at. It was clean and accommodating. The room was small and the building is old, but it worked for us since we only stayed to sleep. The hotel was able to order our taxis for us. That is the only downfall because you spend a lot on taxis to get to the places you need to go. They did have storage for our luggage which was helpful."

"Walking distance to St Peter's Basilica and the train station. Simple breakfast is included (bread, fruit, coffee/tea). Spacious room for the price but our shower was extremely slow draining and the mini fridge looked like it had mold. Adequate for our short stay, budget wise very good."

"Loved the little man on the scooter who worked the desk, didn't mind that it was not 24hr service. Felt very safe despite being in a sketchy location. Sometimes it was noisy at night because there were bars nearby (but nothing that the hotel could change). I loved the amenities (I had a washer, drying set, coffee pot, tea pot, dining table, and large fridge). Was not bothered, and did not need to have my room cleaned every day (cleaning service not forced). By the end of my stay, the toilet did not work, but they were kind about it! Easy check-in and checkout process. Elevator was broken, but I didn't mind (I'm a strong girl). As a solo female traveller, I felt safe, and it was a lovely home base in Rome. Thank you so much Hotel VM!"
