"Me and my friend booked this place as it was quite close to where we shared a house as students 6 years ago and the charm was the same, for us it was a familiar and comfortable stay - the staff were lovely and helpful too, rooms were very nice and it was great value for the pricing. If you don't mind a shared shower, toilets and kitchen area, definitely give it a go. My one critique of the house was that the door locks were a little finicky, a few times me and a few other guests got stuck...

"The young lady who checked us in on Saturday 28th June was superb. Very professional and friendly and set a lovely tone to the start of our trip. The honesty bar, although we didn't use it, was a lovely touch and the garden was lovely to sit out in."

"Lovely place with great location right on the river and easy short walk in to town . Would definetrly return and recommend. If i was being picky the room and bathroom were quite tight but that didnt really bother us personsally. Easy free parking always a good thing so no.complaints from us."

"I had a very good stay and the breakfast very nice and good service. Easy to gain access with a phone number if needed for queries. A quite area. The room and house was clean and had good communication with the owners. The room was perfect and a good shower and tea and coffee facilities and comfortable along with a tv. "

"Property was perfect for us. We needed somewhere close to the hospital for an early morning op and it was perfect. Saved a taxi fare by being able to walk. Recommended. "

"Exceeded my expectations, beautiful house and room (Harry) clean, bright, and spacious with very pretty furniture. The bed was super comfortable, slept wonderfully. The street is busy, with cars and people using it all night, nothing loud, just enough background noise to put you to sleep. "Great place to stay if you'd like to have kitchen access. Fridge, Kettle, Cups, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Milk provided. Bed was VERY comfortable. Bedding all clean. TV is streaming only - no regular TV channels. Could adjust the room temperature via the radiator dial. The shower is in the room, not in a separate bathroom. It didn't bother me, but it's unusual. "On arrival no staff just a pin number sent to access room. On entering i sat on mattress and nearly fell through as its so thin and missing so many springs plus springs went straight into bottom. The tiny light on wall had no bulb in and was rusty and dirty. Room was dirty no wonder it was £30 for a night"

"The property was basic, as expected, but the host's behavior was shockingly unprofessional and erratic. After honestly correcting a simple booking mistake (one guest instead of two) and promptly offering payment, the host initially seemed polite but slow to respond. Things turned serious when I accidentally locked myself out of the bedroom—without shoes or phone—and urgently contacted him via my smartwatch. He claimed he'd arrive in an hour but vanished for hours, ignoring multiple calls....
