"Make sure room door work"

"We were there for just a quick overnight. The self check in did not work and it took a minute to get a real person at the desk. The pool and spa were out of order but we did not plan to use them. We did not visit the casino while we were there. This is a good place for a reasonable overnight that is away from the main drag and other chain hotels."

"First the hotel was clean our room needed to be more clean so we requested it to be cleaned with new sheets and bedding, the stuff was extra nice when asked for our room to be cleaned again because the cleaning stuff didn’t it do a great job and I did speak to the manager and they took care it of right away, the breakfast was okay not great they ran out of food and only one person was working with the breakfast she did bring out more food tho but not great options tho , would like to see more...

"Within 10 minutes of arrival we turned the heat on and the smoke detectors started going off with no smoke in or around the room and the staff wouldn’t answer the phone and we ended up having to stay somewhere else. Extremely disappointed"

"Good place to stay — simple, clean, and friendly. If you need a clean place for a night without luxury expectations, this works perfectly. The breakfast was basic, so don’t expect anything elaborate. Overall, I’m very particular about cleanliness, and I had no issues eating breakfast there, taking a shower, or sleeping comfortably in the bed. Very pleased with my stay."

"We came to the area to explore Indiana Dunes national and state parks, and this hotel is very conveniently located. (It is also very near the Dune Park train station, which we used to hop on the South Shore Line to Chicago one morning to visit the Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum. Yay for not having to drive and park in Chicago traffic!) The rooms do show their age a bit, but we just thought that gave it character. Most importantly, it was very clean and comfortable. "Staff was amazing and rooms were clean. The view over the water was great but the balcony’s could have been kept up a little better. Also, the hotel in itself is very outdated (as in vending machines, no conditioner, rugs, balcony area)."

"The ad says that the room slept five. When we got there, there was one king size bed, and one full bed . There were four of us guys and not too many guys want to sleep together in a full-size bed. And the staff said that the king size bed would sleep three. I don’t know too many people that sleep three in a bed. That advertising is deceptive. They didn’t offer to give us any other cots or couches or anything because they didn’t have any."

"I stayed for 2 nights. I saw mixed reviews and was hesitant but was it was a good place to stay. Wasn’t the cleanest since there was some spots but wasn’t dirty either. The beds were comfortable and it was a great experience for my first hotel book. Some reviews said the air conditioning was messed up but it stayed freezing cold how I like it and was amazing. Overall it’s a good place to stay for the price and I would book there again. I wasn’t sure why there was many bad reviews about the place...

"The check in was awful. Tried to check in at 3pm, as listed. After 20 minutes of waiting, he said it would be ready at 4pm. We came back around 5pm. After another 20 minutes, he handed me a key card. No real communication, just awful all the way around. Not very clean. My son found a spoon next to the bed on the floor. Would not recommend"
