"Just a wonderful stay especially for the price. Hotel is set off the main highway in the woods. We had a king bed room, it was huge and very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the woods. Dining room was very nice and a very good breakfast. Oh yes, indoor heated pool and sauna! Sad we stayed only one night."

"This location is old but clean. It was also very quiet as there seemed to be few customers. We stayed 3 nights while enjoying the convenient location to the Indiana Dunes National Park and a lot of nice restaurant options. The beds were comfortable. It was nice having a balcony overlooking a small lake with beautiful “Waterbirds”. We had no housekeeping services so no clean towels and no additional coffee pods for the in-room coffee machine. "Bathroom floors were dirty and sticky. Room was supposed to have blackout curtains…room had sun shining through the windows at 5:30AM. Awful!! Manager was very rude and said they knew the curtain wasn’t there/damaged and have a curtain on order - sorry that’s unacceptable for someone to stay in the room!! Never would stay there again."

"The staff here was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. However, our room felt a little outdated and needed a new coat of paint. Also, the carpeting seemed oddly dirty. I don’t know if it just needed a good deep clean or what, but it made our feet turn black and it felt almost sticky walking on it. I think the hotel might be in a yucky part of town. "Right off the highway, yet close enough to both the Indiana Dunes State and National Parks that we were able to make multiple trips to both during our short stay. Highly recommend Wagners, local restaurant, for the rib dinner."
