Big Sur Lodge
Loved having a cabin experience actually inside a state park. Beautiful trails though redwoods. Old but clean and functional. Nice balcony with forest behind. Furnace was a bit noisy for sleeping. No TV or internet but I was made aware many times this would be the case.

Carmel Valley Ranch, in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt
Beautiful, spacious rooms, great food, helpful staff. This would be 5 stars, but for the fact that the room was unheated for the first night. The thermostat problem was fixed the next day.

This is my new favorite place in Carmel! There was a valet to greet our car when we rolled up and showed us where to go to check in. The front desk attendant was amazing!
