"The inn was okay and the staff were nice. Couldn’t sleep though which is the point of a hotel. Had a road facing room and could hear every single car as it sped by. Torture. The shower was also maybe the worst I’ve had in the last 5 years of constant travel. Felt like someone held a pinched hose over me and there was no water pressure at off peak shower times. "

"Great location for Saltburn & Whitby, lovely, quiet village. Sunday lunch was delicious, big portions, very good value for money. Would highly recommend. "The room was clean and functional. Plenty of parking. The receptionist who checked me in was miserable and didn’t make me feel welcome. Pretty sure I was the only one staying there. The hotel is very tired in most respects. It’s quite isolated also so you need a car to get anywhere. My room was located very close to the A19 so a lot of road traffic noise."

"Gorgeous location. Big room with comfy bed and good bathroom. Cosy bar and we enjoyed a lovely meal. Nice walk into the tiny village for cafe and another pub. Good value. If you’re not a dog person it’s worth noting there were a lot of guests with dogs."
