"Firstly, I didn’t make use of the ‘amenities’. I was visiting parents who had moved house so this was literally a place to rest my head. That being said, the restaurant staff were lovely as I arrived late when l they were finishing shift so helped me find keys and get in. The room was decent - comfortable bed, shower and separate toilet. The only gripe I had was that the toilet light was on a timer so when cleaning teeth/washing face etc light would go off after 15s or so. Would definitely...

"We were given a room that having viewed others friends rooms was the worst, we had a very small room that was cold and asked for a heater and a view of a roof that was very dilapidated, not sure if we got the worse room because booked through Expedia also we had stuff left in the room from the previous guest"

"Sadly, we stayed on the wrong day. We arrived after a six hour drive to find out there was an eighties night on in the marquee about 20 steps from our room. It went on until after midnight. The music I could have coped with but the Dj and accompanying karaoke sounded like they were in our room, completely unnecessarily. Then the guests were in and out of the front entrance door next to our room until 4am. Not exactly the restful night I hoped for especially for our six hour drive the following...

"I’d like to say thank you to the very friendly and helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was upgraded with a view of the racecourse and the room was superb. The highlight was a delicious breakfast for £10 when paying in advance. I’ll certainly stay here again when there isn’t racing! "

"Obviously a very rough location to stay, Pay as you go bar service, however also have to leave a £50 refundable deposit "for any damages" apparently I said to the girl who checked me in " is it really that rough?" Her response was "yes we have alsorts in here and the system won't let me check you in unless you pay the security deposit" make you feel very welcome..."

"The rooms were clean apart from under the sofa in the Trow ,not sure if would class the Horsin as a deluxe Superior room but did as required as required an adjoining room . The step into rhe bath in Trow is quite wide and both myself and my fiancee slipped as the bath mat moved while getting in . Still no warning signs that the water is hot at the sink . Breakfast was good the bowls keeping the cooked food hot could of been hotter and had to put the toast through twice to get it to my likeing ....

"My second stay here. Good base for visiting the surrounding area, short walk to the town for lots of eating and drinking options. Hotel restaurant has a good, varied menu. Nice big hardstanding car park, staff friendly and helpful. Good size room. Plenty of storage. "

"This is our go to hotel when we want to break up any journeys to the north of England or Scotland. The staff are friendly, it's convenient for the M1, and it has great facilities. It also features a good breakfast buffet."

"The hotel was clean and generally well kept. We enjoyed a nice stay, but a couple of things would have made things better: - On checking in, the receptionist was very functional. We would have appreciated a welcoming smile as well as being told the relevant information. - The menu needs to be updated to show what is actually served. However, nothing to stop us from returning."
