"I was a completely unplanned visitor who trekked the moors at night to reach the Inn. Though the only thing that happened on the moors was fulfilling an American's silly Holmesian fantasy of walking the moors at night, everyone was concerned for my safety and I really appreciated that. My stay was wonderful, the food was really delicious, and everyone with whom I spoke was just up-front and pleasant. I will be back some day and guess where I'll stay?"

"We have just had a wonderful stay here as my other half was doing the Great North Run. The staff were so helpful polite and attentive. The room was excellent spacious .really comfy beds full bathroom and had everything we needed as well as very quiet. So now comes the restaurant........ wow just wow the food was top notch all freshly cooked and some of the best Italian we have ever had. Portion sizes are not for the faint hearted ie great for a pre run carb load tea for my partner but so...

"The cottage is a great size with large bedrooms, a large kitchen diner and a relaxing living room. The heating is very efficient, so we were warm and cosy. The location makes Northumberland very accessible and Hadrian's Wall is only a short drive away. "
