"Apart from the host being welcoming, nothing else was. The room only got cleaned as we got there. Terrible transportation, no taxi wanted to pick us up or drive us there. I would not recommend. Very far from the city. "

"It was so pleasant . The view of the pool on the property and bar as well from the balcony was nice. Bar food and drinks were good. The security and bar tender were attentive and kind. I will def go back. We felt safe walking the property at night and it is gated . Plenty of parking ."

"Rooms serviced daily was nice. Beach ocean entrance to small manmade cove. Snorkeling good if waters smooth enough. Snorkle to the right for best results. Scuba has a deep wall drop about 100 meters out. Plenty of free loungers but no "real" beach. "

"The bathroom sew smells awful, awful... A front desk guy doesnot help/give information and was impolite Breakfast's options were very limited. Every day boiled eggs and cheese were the two unique proteins. "

"First day was a big disappointment. We came in at 11:00 because of an early flight, asked for an early check in, they told us the people from that room would leave at 12:00 and after that it would be cleaned immediately. The check in time is 15:00 and by 15:35 the room was ready. We asked for a compensation, because of the longer waiting time, but we never got it. If it was the other way as in a later check out, they would let us pay for it, but they’re even talking about our compensation...

"The Papagayo Hotel property was clean and well maintained. We got an ocean view room and enjoyed the balcony and view. The hotel has many amenities including being right on the beach. We were close to stores, restaurants, markets and more. Staff was friendly and the hotel was well designed. Loved our time will be back !"
