"Great hotel with fantastic food and spa facilities"

"Fantastic stay between Bath & Stonehenge. Surrounding towns provide tonnes of history, monuments and pleasant hills. Great carpark and good showers. It was an unusual hot night and the room had a fan!!! Great staff, I recommend."

"Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. Parking can be a problem but usually can park in town square (which you need to pay for, either in cash/card or by downloading the local app). Place fairly clean, tables for breakfast...

"All staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Accommodation and surrounding area looked dark and tired. No air conditioning in rooms however a fan was available to use. Great value for money"

"Motel about 5 miles north of Salisbury. Room very spacious and cool in a very hot week, on-site restaurant, lots of parking. Staff always friendly and helpful Breakfast buffet a bit disorganised and quality variable Not many amenities nearby"

"Lovely country pub, perfect for a stop over or to stay a few nights in the countryside. Staff were friendly and thoughtful, the food was excellent, and the restaurant/beer garden out the back was lovely in the warm summer eve."

"The staff at the Old Mill are really friendly and helpful. The Italian restaurant is pleasant with a nice outlook next to the canal and the food is nice. The breakfast is basic continental but perfectly adequate. The location is good only a 10 minute walk to the canal that takes you all the way in to the centre of Bath and is a lovely walk. Our room at the Old Mill was perfectly fit for purpose however is in need of some decoration. It could have been cleaner, we found cobwebs over the bedside...

"Bit of a rabbit warren of a place and the single room was clean but quite small though had both a bath and shower. Bathroom could do with some diy. Across the road from a nightclub but sound proofing was ok as the windows of the room were sealed relying instead on efficient air con. Main issue was the sense of damp of the mattress and duvet which may have been due to a mattress cover. At one point sleeping on the floor seemed attractive."

"Extremely friendly and courteous staff, in particular the lady who checked us in and the breakfast team. The hotel is being systematically renovated and the public areas are of a high standard. Our room was clean and well maintained and whilst the bathroom was clean and functional it would have benefited from being renovated. That said, there was nothing seriously wrong with it. The price we paid represented excellent value for money. Free and secure parking in a dedicated building adjacent...

"On arrival there was road works outside the hotel which we were unaware of. I had messaged to ask where to park but got no answer. The parking is payable across the road and behind some houses. The hotel building is very old and the bar area is quite nice. The two young lads on the bar were very nice and friendly. The room we had was in need of decoration and updating, not in good shape. We had drinking facilities provided but I’d advise take your own as the ones given were to certain tastes....

"Really lovely place. Very quiet and peaceful. A bit off the beaten track but still only half an hour away from Bristol. Really comfortable bed, and I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in ages. I wouldn’t say this if it wasn’t true! Only one minor point is that the shower head was a bit too low for me, as I’m around 6’ tall."

"The property is quite quirky with uneven floors but has character. Quite a small hotel and choices at breakfast were limited. Vegetarians and people with other dietary requirements not really catered for."

"The property is simply stunning! I have been to the Cotswolds many times over the years however this was a first for my partner who found the area breathtaking. The highlight of her few days here was the hotel. Every aspect of the hotel was faultless and will certainly return for a longer stay."
