"Hotel is a little dated but room and bathroom were very clean. Fan was provided so temperature was comfortable. Room spacious and will be great if you have dogs. Bed relatively comfortable. Minor gripe is that the shower gel was very watered down so no use really. Other than that it’s a good budget option for this location and I would definitely stay there again."

We expected quite simple / basic accommodation and were pleased to find it as anticipated - a small cabin like bedroom simply fitted out but completely adequate and spotlessly clean. We didn't arrive until just after 8pm but were cheerfully greeted by a very helpful Chris (despite him being towards the end of a busy day for him - when we arrived he was part of a small team clearing up after a wedding or birthday celebration of some size). "Every single person who we spoke to was amazing - really smooth checkin and food ordering as well as drinks later. Really helpful. Would definitely recommend and thankyou"

"hotel is ok. self check in doesn't work mostly which you would think they can fix this. rooms have no Aircon so if its warm i wouldn't stay there. they give fans in the room. its not a horrible hotel but its really on par with a holiday inn or similar. its not really a great hotel but ok if the prices are cheap then its not a bad place to stay. overall they try to minimize any help or extras to keep costs low which i guess is how it goes."

"Stayed here during the summer, breakfast was great, we were given a menu and a choice of continental selection. Breakfast cooked fresh so we booked again. Sadly this time we were greeted with a breakfast buffet which wasnt the same. Therefore we would not be in a rush back, hopefully the cook will ge brought back "

"Clean room with basic amenities"

"Another fantastic stay at Moat House for my parents, who simply won't stay anywhere else when they're visiting the area! The whole team were phenomenal from start to finish. Apologies that we didn't manage to get everyone's names, but Hannah on reception was amazing at check-in, and Kirsty was excellent at check-out. The bar, restaurant and food service teams were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, making guests feel genuinely valued throughout their stay. A special mention also to the...

"Chose this property as it wasn’t far from the motorway to split up a long journey. Was absolutely fine for what we needed it for, with food outlets nearby to grab something to eat for dinner and for breakfast the next morning. Was the first time I have experienced a faceless stay, but it worked fine. Parking was full and being used by work vans, so just had to park on the street nearby."

"Room and linen were clean but bathroom has a mouldy slipmat in the shower. Building definitely showing signs of wear and tear but the reception staff very friendly."

"The Hotel was right next to the event that we went to. The bed was really comfortable, shower was great so the room was spot on. The staff were brilliant and friendly. Will definitely be booking for the same time next year. Price was brilliant as well."
