"This property is stunningly beautiful and well landscaped. The room was clean and comfortable. I absolutely LOVED having a semi private back yard area directly off my patio. Every morning I saw wildlife walking through and down to the pond. It had trails to walk around and every corner of the property was filled with beautiful and well manicured tropical plants. There is plenty of space and multiple pools, gardens, or areas to hang out so it was very easy to find more quiet and private areas. It never felt crowded or too busy. The hot springs were amazing and that was the perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day of tours. The staff were friendly and helpful and I loved how safe and inviting everything felt. The restaurant was really good and I loved the breakfast buffet every morning. I am already looking forward to going back and would absolutely recommend this resort. It's not only conveniently located, it feels safe, clean, and relaxing."

"Across from the main entrance of Mystico Park, Sangregado Lodge is a unique and private space. We stayed in a junior suite and it was beautifully appointed with a twin rainfall showers and floor-to-ceiling windows all having a direct ever-changing view straight out to the Arenal Volcano. The kitchenette and fridge were stocked with snacks and an espresso machine. This is not a full-service property and you want to stay aware of staff hours and plan ahead requests for activity bookings and information. But Corina and other staff we met went above and beyond to help us and stay connected on WhatsApp. The Blue Hibiscus restaurant a short 3 min. drive down the hill had a wonderful buffet breakfast every morning. We had dinner there twice with the best flame-cooked tenderloin steak that I can remember on our last night. Highly recommend Sangregado Lodge for a luxury, jungle-adjacent stay after canyoning, whitewater rafting or taking an early-morning guided tour of Mystico Park to see the most wildlife."

"The Arenal observatory hotel was so beautiful … Located where you could see the Arenal volcano from a lookout point outside the restaurant. We were able to spot variously type of birds in our birding adventure. The breakfast was amazing … our waitress Joseph along with other staff were very professional . Breathing fresh pure air was a great welcome to our lungs . The room was well kept . Overall just amazing"

"It’s pretty remote kinda, they don’t have lights to lead you to the area from the road so it’s best to get there before it gets dark. The breakfast was good, there different variety especially with dinner. Staff was very nice & accommodating. My air conditioning wasn’t that cold but still enough for some air. "
