"My stay at sangregado lodge was great. The room was beautiful. It was raining a lot but we still had an opportunity to see the volcano straight from our room. Staff was very attentive and nice. We didn’t rent a car but we had access to shuttles and taxis that could take us anywhere. I think id recommend getting a car though as it might be a bit more cost efficient, but overall either is doable. There’s a lot of winding roads and there are no restaurants on the property so we had to travel about...

" We stayed in the honeymoon suite and the room had one of the most spectacular view I’ve ever seen in Costa Rica. The room was clean and very spacious, with modern sinks, toilet, and showers. The bed was very comfortable, true to other reviews. Food at the resort is very good, though cocktails were a little disappointing for the price. "I cannot say enough about our stay here. The owner helped my friend picking herbs and making a tea to settle her stomach. They ensured we had enough towels and checked in daily with us. Theu staff were very helpful. They have just added 2 new rooms and the views aroind the property were perfect. There is a swinging bridge you walk over to get to breakfast in the morning and they follow their schedule it was perfect and i am already planning my next visit back"

"Breakfast was ok the fruits were fresh but the gallo pinto to dry. The rooms are big but outdated. No air conditioning. The surrounds are beautiful. If you don’t need air conditioned you will be fine. The bed is not comfortable neither the pillows. "

"This is hands down a 5 star hotel. The hotel is on an amazing property with an amazing view from the rooms. The rooms have a heated hot tub on the patio and the vibe is very nice. The pools are heated, so you can enjoy at any time. The food at the restaurant was solid , and the staff makes up for the rest since everyone is very nice.
