"The property was very clean in the rooms but the veranda was really dirty and dusty it looked like it had never been cleaned the bed was really clean and comfortable and it had a massive TV in the room and some exercise things too. The bathroom was clean and towels were lovely and with toiletries provide it was a bit far from train station to walk but the bus stop was nearby as it was a bit expensive to use taxis. They had lots of outdoor space to eat and drink as you were next to the Caversham...

"The guy at the checkin desk/bar (yes they're one and the same) was great. However, beware, they say they do 24/7 food. The weekday menu and weekend menus differ - and I quote the manager here "we have a diminished menu on the weekends." When we visited it was so diminished the only option was pizza. When you're hungry you'll take what you can get. Don't rely on the hotel for food."

"Sheets were clean but that seemed to be about it. Stains on the wall, mould around windows and bathroom. I made the mistake of checking under the bed before I left and found a gross mess that can't have been properly cleaned ever. Tiny rooms but to be expected for price but basically just a bed and shower and no space to move. Okay as a single person who can deal with some grime but can't say I can encourage anyone to stay there."

"No restaurant, only hand soap, hard bed , no ac, the people at the desk were nice, but they left the property..they told us to leave the key in a drawer if no one was around. We were in an airport related jam and this popped up as an “option”. Nope. Research the neighborhood, because we were stranded, we also had to walk to find food or something. Again all nope. Deliverance."

"Lots of negatives: bathroom is musky smelly, doors need replacing, windows don’t shut properly, no air conditioning(!) Positives: 15 minute walk to tourist district, free parking, good water pressure, friendly staff. I would not recommend to stay here. I was sold by the well-staged pictures. Don’t be fooled."

"It was just ok. Location was excellent for us which is a big plus but let down by poor communications (no response to phone calls or emails at all). Check in instructions were sent, but after check in time. "Very small. It was so dirty I didn't even stay there. Trying to book in and the owner was rude "

With this comes issues with either a very steep staircase up to the rooms or use of an emergency exit at the rear (which is made of metal steps with a precarious old mat dangerously situated at the top). The room was lovely but it was very hot as situated above the kitchen. The weather was forecasted to be 28/29 degrees and I had to ask for a fan.
