Stayed as a family over a couple of rooms on our way through. The staff were lovely and helpful, very tolerant of kids and the building reasonably clean and the rooms also ok, although a little tired, but not terribly so. Same goes for the health club, although it’s actually quite well equipped.
There were however some negative points.
The room was outrageously hot - even with the heating off. The window only opens the most meagre crack, although this is likely mandated by health & safety (ridiculous, but not their fault), but without any climate control in the room whatsoever, made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep, even in February - I’d imagine it’s quite unbearable in the summer. Coupled with the fact that there is no water in the room (other than the tap - again, not a huge deal, but missing out on a nicety), it just missed the mark a bit for me. A shame really, given the wonderful staff reception and general facilities.
Would I recommend it? Overall, yes. But bare my points in mind if you’re a cool sleeper!
