"We loved our three-night stay at Residence Altea! The location was great - very central to the pedistrian-only section of Ortesei and near the veniculars/cable cars to the various mountain hikes. The room was very large and spacious and well-equipped! The breakfast was included and delicious! Monika at the front desk was always helpful and very, very friendly. She had great hiking tips each day based on the weather :) We also took full advantage of the spa ammenities and enjoyed them very much...

Family that owns and runs hotel is fantastic. Location is incredible with short walks to three different gondolas or train lifts to go hiking and eat at restaurants. "With both Seceda and Alpe di Suisi cable cars with min walking distance to hotel it was the perfect location. The hotel offers an easy location to get to both while not in the heart of downtown Ortisei. The hotel offers a nice mix of relaxation (pool, silent room, and patio areas) with the access to summer hiking in the area. Great place to stay and really enjoyed our few days there."

"The apartment was spacious and the kitchen had the bare minimums we needed to cook a simple meal. The showers were a little awkward and water got all over the floor. That was the only awkward thing. The breakfast was EXCELLENT! Fresh and delicious and plentiful."

The construction and interior were traditional Tyrolian woodwork. The staff went above and beyond in all aspects. They provided us with a personal hotpot and teas. The breakfast, which is included, was better than most B and B's provide. Everything was fresh and well presented. The breakfast room is charming and well appointed. Can't say enough good things...
