"The room did not have the ability to access Netflix or other streaming services. When I contacted reception, I was informed that the hotel had not yet set up the Chromecast functionality, so streaming was unavailable. The air conditioning was also very noisy, with the motor producing a constant whining sound, which was disruptive and had to be turned off especially during sleep. "We had a room with double and single bed. It was very clean - couldn't fault that. I felt it was in a rather run down and ugly location - wouldn't ever return to that area of Sheffield. The view from our window was terrible - made area look derelict. So many things in the room were dated and chipped, including paintwork and had seen better days. "The hotel is looking a bit tired and in need of an update. The room was fine...no safe, furniture a bit tatty and some black mould around the bath/shower. Only 1 dressing robe and slippers in the room, although booked as a couple. Room service was a bit random. The sandwiche that arrived was not great, with a tired piece of lettuce, 2 small tomatoes and some tortilla chips. Breakfast was again fine but nothing to write home about. "Really do not understand about the £30 Deposit and concern about Parking fees- Why Parking was not free who are staying & paying hotel overnight!"

"Nothing wrong the aesthetics of the hotel and appeared clean. Staff were good. Just the second Marston’s Inn in a year that I’ve been bitten badly by bed bugs. Reported and hopefully will get sorted. 100% will not stay at another Marston’ Inn."

"Great stay however the rooms were not overly clean. It seems housecleaning need to rush to get rooms ready and do a basic wipe over, but it is not really to the standard expected of a 4star hotel. Hotel staff were friendly and grounds and common areas were very nice. Food a little disappointing (plates hot but breakfast not). With some attention to detail this property would be really good 😊"
