"Decent"

"Hotel is in a good location ( near train station ) + local buses for travel all around the west midlands and beyond. Hotel is clean and quiet. You really do not interact with staff as they are only there ( if needed) upon check in."

"I go every year to Solihull and I have tried Voco several times. Every time there is something wrong or it is the smell of curry in the corridors or it is the check in or out. This time, the checkout time was at 11 and we came back from breakfast 10:50, to collect our bags and check out but our key didn’t opened the door. "Meal deal not honoured"

"Needs a good refurbishment and upgrade room amenities."

"I requested breakfast but was told they didn’t do it anymore. The stairs were cramped with 2 turns and inadequate/absent rails. We did not meet any staff. There was a note saying how we could ring them. The hot and cold water at the wash basin were plumbed in the wrong way round. I did not see any indicator for which was hot or cold. It matters because this is where you fill the kettle. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm."

"Friendly and helpful staff, super clean and well equipped room with a really comfortable bed, even the view from the room was calming across the roof garden. The spa was a fabulous retreat after a day at an NEC exhibition too. Lovely stay."

"Everything was fine but when it came to breakfast we had to wait over an hour and when it arrived was not very nice, undercooked sausages, gluten free bread given to someone who didn't have a gluten allergy, no cups available for drinks and a giant milk jug which milk poured out of like a fountain. Obviously very understaffed in the restaurant."

"The building works currently taking place in the hotel destroyed the experience as was woken up in the early hours of the morning to banging and drilling. No advance warning was given to guests which I thought was incredibly frustrating."

"Clean room. Looks like I stayed in a brand new renovated room. There is a lot of building work being done with the lift to my floor being out so had to walk the rest of the way up stairs which wasn’t a big issue for me."

"Receptionists were very friendly and gave us all the information needed. Breakfast had everything you could want and evening meal was fantastic. We would definitely return in the future."
