"Good central location. We were shocked by the state of the entrance to the apartments from the street, not a good first impression. No lift so had to climb three floors of stairs with luggage but did have help offered to us which was nice. The apartment was small, darkly decorated in grey and quite disappointing. "Looks grand from the outside and reception, with beautiful grounds. It’s dated. Very dated! We booked the cheapest room so walked a few miles in corridors getting lost in lifts that only go to certain rooms and then a stairwell that was really smelly. We had drinks in the bar, asked for coke was given Pepsi without being asked if I was ok with that and then the £4 small bowl of fries was literally cold. No need to return. "

"Had really good stay, was there for 6 nights, food was lovely, staff really polite and helpful, our room was clean, very comfortable, only thing was the creaking doors early on a morning but that doesn't really affect the quality of stay, overall we had a really nice break away. 100% would recommend staying here if looking for somewhere in pontefract to stay"
