"This was a nightmarish trip into dystopia - human storage lockers called "nests"; security code scans at every doorway; total absence of natural light; recirculated air; endless piped music; nowhere to put or keep belongings. To be fair, the staff were exceptionally gracious, helpful, and accommodating, the facilities spotless, but this was no place for a person over 60 facing their own mortality (visualize morgue refrigerators), or anyone with mobility issues or claustrophobia."

"Lovely location. Room a bit dated and not always in a charming or characterful way - e.g. brown patterned carpet, likely from the 1980s.
At check out I was asked for a 15 pound a night “tip” or service charges and to cover lobby and door staff! I felt awkward asking for it to be removed from the account, but really at 250+ a night I expect staff to be part of the deal. Is tipping at hotel really to become a normal thing in London?"

"Excellent hotel. The staff was very polite and helpful. The rooms were very nice size and very comfortable. I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant or the breakfast, but the gym was very well appointed. The best part is the awesome location. Just blocks away from Tower of London and right next door to the medieval St. Olaf'a church. Highly recommend getting a tour of that as well.

"Rooms are on a first come first serve basis. If you check in after 3pm there is a chance you will get a room that isn’t like that pictures - when I request to get another room a man was not very helpful or pleasant to speak with but when I went back and spoke to a woman she resolved the issue very quickly and smoothly. No face towels, but the location was good."

"Great property close to the train station that is connected to the ExCel center (trains, not the hotel). The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and the staff goes above and beyond!
My room was large with a huge window seat where I could relax, get work done or just read a book while enjoying the view. "Although our room was very small, it worked for us for the 8 nights of our stay. We are grateful to the staff who immediately took care of the few requests we made ( wash cloths, ice, and extra towels). Since the room was so small we would have benefitted from having 1-2 hooks to hang towels and a soap dish in the shower. We also let them know the shower clogged after 1-2 minutes in the shower."
