"I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I booked it for its reasonable price but it far exceeded expectations. We were visiting family in chester over Christmas, and there were no hotels available in the city centre, although this was a little far out the drive was very easy and quick parking was good and the hotel was clean and friendly. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to others."

"The room was very old tired and out dated with mould up the walls. Worn out furniture and very old uncomfortable mattresses, dirty carpets, rust and mould around the bath and shower, ripped net curtains with what looks like air riffle holes in the windows. The room was ice cold all night we had to stay fully clothed. The whole hotel didnt have any heating on. Other people living in the hotel and other guests was in and out the fire exit door all night slamming it shut every time the door was...

"Staff were very nice but the arrival registration at 3pm was very slow due to large line of customers. Room very nice, upgrade but looking out onto a wall and air conditioner yard. Not very happy with that. Website showed gardens. Also lighting very dull."

"Room was tidy but a bit worn in places, shower wasn’t very warm, property itself was a bit run down, and there was a strong smell of cigarettes on entry and through out the hotel, room was fresh though But the staff were lovely, breakfast was brilliant, out the way off the main road and quiet at night bed was very comfy! Stayed for a wedding reception, the event room was really nicely decorated and spacious! Bar a bit pricey though £5 pint of coke! "

"We arrived by train and the hotel is any easy 10 minute walk from the station and then just under 10 minutes to the town centre. The hotel was lovely. I cannot think of anything to be negative about. The room was quiet, the bed comfy and I loved the decor. (We were in a 'clocks' room.) All the staff were pleasant and helpful and there is both a restaurant and bar food. The food in both was very good and slightly unusual. Chester itself is a great place to visit and it is easy to go into...
