We were three people traveling and had a nice sized family room. The toiletries are fantastic, and if I'd had room in my suitcase, I would have bought a bottle of the lotion. "Sorry that there was no elevator, but because it is an historical property, it can not be installed. Staff was wonderful and breakfast and the room it was served was beautiful. Well worth the money if you can do 47 steps to the top floor. Were in our late 70’s and we did it!!!! Great spot and great people running it."
"Easy to access, bustop right outside. It took 25 min to Edinburgh by bus. Our room (with private bathroom) was clean and nice. It was kind of thin walls though, we could all hear each other. We were only there for 3 nights, but we would recommend it! "

"Loved staying at Abbey Strand! Very historic building but with all modern conveniences. Quiet part of Royal Mile away from noise & traffic but easy walk to anywhere. No air conditioning but temps are generally cooler. Definitely recommend a stay when in Edinburgh."
"The Brewhouse is a unique hotel that is in the perfect spot for the Royal Mile. The rooms are all different and fun. It has a great welcoming feel when you arrive. The atmosphere is come in and have a beer and stay a while. The food is great and the beer is better.
So happy I took a chance on the Doghouse. Wish I was staying here longer. "
